I am a 32 year old Personal Trainer based in Tamworth. I have lived in the area most my life, moving here from Birmingham when I was a young boy.
After developing an interest in sports in High School I went on to compete in County Athletics as well as playing for the football, rugby, and cricket teams. I began weight training in a gym at 17 years old and have trained pretty much since then.
I’ve trained many people over the years but it’s only recently that I’ve decided to make my love of training my career and become a personal trainer. The feeling I get when I help someone achieve something that they've always dreamt of but never thought they'd be capable of, is a feeling I cannot surpass. I love to hear someone tell a client that they look great or that they've lost weight. My smile is normally bigger than that of my client’s!
I've trained with clients of all ages, levels and capabilities and love the varied challenges such clients give me. I’ve helped people get back to a weight that they've not been since they were in high school. I’ve helped new moms shift that stubborn ‘baby weight’ after childbirth. I’ve helped weight lifters break through their plateaus and increase their weights and I've help educate athletes and transform their training methods to help them surpass their current abilities.
April 26th 2009 saw me complete in my first Flora London Marathon - something I thought I’d never do as I’ve never been a big long distance runner. I've ran several BUPA Great North Runs and always thought half marathons were going to be my limit, but the challenge of doing a full marathon was too tempting and I ran it in a very pleasing 04:10:16 and even though I’d previously said it’d be my first and ONLY one, I enjoyed it so much that im intending to do a few more in the future! If you’re interested in marathon or half marathon training, contact me.
In June I ran the Tamworth Gate Gallop; a very challenging 10km multi–terrain course which is very popular and well supported. It was a special race for me as there were several of my personal training clients running it and it was their first ever 10km event. I was very proud when they all finished and collected their medals, and even prouder when they said they wanted to run it next year as well!
I’m a very keen cross country mountain biker and am often found throwing myself down mountains in and around England and more recently the beautiful scenery of Wales. In March 2009 I spent a week cycling 650km coast to coast across Mexico to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, of whom I’m a very keen supporter and volunteer. Other hobbies are kick-boxing, indoor and outdoor circuit training and any other extreme trial challenges. I’m pretty much an adrenaline junkie. I’m still to do a free-fall sky dive, bungee jump and great white shark dive but they are definitely on my to do list.

Through losing a close family member to Leukaemia and having several friends lives affected by cancer, i have found out first hand just how good Macmillan Cancer Support are and i regularly volunteer to raise money for them in local supermarkets. I have also ran the London Marathon and cycled coast to coast across Mexico; helping raise over £200,000 for them.
